About the Event
Join us for a FREE powerful Poetry Slam centered on Immigration, where voices rise to honor the journeys, struggles, and resilience of immigrant communities.
In a time when immigration is criminalized and misunderstood, we believe in the power of poetry to humanize and illuminate. This slam is a stage for stories that often go unheard, a space to honor identity, migration, resilience, memory, and home.
The Slam will be followed by an open mic, so come share your story in any art form!
Doors open at 6:30 for coffee and drinks.
Slam starts at 7:00p.m.
The winner will receive a cash prize as well as a spotlight feature at EDALX, our international Encuentro that uplifts multidisciplinary Latinx artists around the world. EDALX fosters lasting collaborations and builds community, making Orlando a vibrant hub for Latinx creativity on a local and international scale.
