CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR EDALX VII
EDALX is an event that unites artists with the purpose of benefiting the program "Adelante Caminante" from Centro Comunitario la Esperanza, which offers support programs to children and underage immigrants and refugees who arrived to the United States without the company of an adult.
CALL FOR ARTISTS
EDALX aims to create a space to highlight Latin-american artists from all over the world, who work in any sort of artistic medium.
A selection of videos will be selected and showcased in the SEVENTH Encounter of Latin American artists: EDALX VII.
In addition to being able to participate with foreign artists, local artists have the opportunity of participating IN PERSON.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
-Overage artists.
- Artists of Latin American origin who live anywhere in the world.
-Groups, companies, collectives, etc, who's members are comprised of at least 80% Latin Americans.
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR MATERIAL
INFORMATION ON
THE VIDEO ITSELF
-You will submit a video showcasing your art.
-This video must showcase some type of art of any medium.
- The theme and topic is open, and you may use any medium.
- We recommend original work.
-Artists participating via video: The video that you submit on the form, is the same video that will be showcased the day of the event.
-Your video can be in Spanish, English, Spanglish, Portuguese, or any indigenous tongue, or language spoken by Latin American communities. It may also be in ASL.
-Video Format should be MP4 (Suggested: minimum 1080p (Progressive Scan).
-Max. Duration: 5 Minutes.
-Your final submission should have clear imaging, clear audio, be ready for publication, and must be recorded in landscape orientation.
-Artists participating in person: Your video must display the exact presentation you will be showcasing at the event.
WHERE TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO
-We require you complete a submission form and upload the video in its original size, to a platform online/in the cloud such as Google Drive, iCloud, or that you share it through websites such as WeTransfer.
-We do NOT accept YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook links, or any other website that may compress the video quality.
-In order to participate in the event with your video or in-person talent, you must fill out a submission form. The link can be found on this page, as well as in the Linktree on our social media.

-You will have the opportunity to be selected to host your OWN paid event in Orlando, Florida in 2027.
-Your participation in EDALX will allow you to expand to a wider international audience.
-You can create connections for future collaborations.
-By participating, you will be supporting other artists, and a Latin American theater company.
-You will be supporting a beautiful and important cause!
IMPORTANT DATES
-The submission form closes on October 9th 2026, at 11:59 in your country.
-The selected videos will be announced between October 16th and 18th.
-There will be a meeting for the selected artists on October 22nd. It will be held online and in person.
-The event will take place on November 14th 2026, at 3:30 pm EST. (The livestream will begin at 4:00 pm EST)
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the event paid?
Decolonizarte TEATRO is committed to respecting art and paying all artists who participate in its productions.HOWEVER, artists participating in EDALX will not be paid, since this event's proceeds will be donated to the "Adelante Caminante" program of Hope Community Center. The program supports immigrant and refugee youth who arrived in the US without the company of adults.
Do you pay for accommodations if I don't live in Orlando?
For this event, it is not necessary to assist in person if you do not live in, or near Orlando, Florida. You can participate with a video and watch the event live stream.
Can the video that I showcase on the day of the event be longer than the one I submit on the form?
The video you submit on the form is the same video that will be displayed on the day of the event, and thus must not exceed the 5 minute limit.
I live elsewhere and still wish to attend the event in person.
