The Border is a Metaphor is a powerful Poetry Slam centered on Immigration, where voices rise to honor the journeys, struggles, and resilience of immigrant communities.
In a time when immigration is criminalized and misunderstood, we believe in the power of poetry to humanize and illuminate. This slam is not only a competition; it is a stage for stories that often go unheard, a space to honor identity, migration, resilience, memory, and home.

This two-round slam invites 12 poets to share their truth through spoken word:
